"God gave us all gifts & we must hold ourselves accountable to use what we've got!
My gift is making people feel something...hopefully something good...
something dope...something necessary!"-Nate'
Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Nate' (nah-TAY) Soulsanger is the Bay Area's premier urban entertainer, maintaining a prolific career as a recording artist, performer, songwriter, actress, and event host. Nate' hails from a musical family, making her first entry into the business as co-founder of a pre-teen gospel duo, Young Revelations. But it was her breakout performance at her graduation from East Oakland's Skyline High School that peaked her interest in a professional music career.
The Soulsanger's recording opportunities flourished when she was introduced to the hip-hop scene by the production team known as The Mekanix (responsible for the rise of hip-hop acts like J-Stalin), even as she honed her live performance skills across Northern California, including casinos, Sweetwater, Throckmorton Theater, Oakland's Paramount Theater and the world-renowned jazz club Yoshi's. Nate' has written countless hooks for artists int he Bay Area and beyond. Her vocals have graced tracks by the likes of Bun B (UGK), The Game, E-40, and the legendary Mac Dre just to name a few. She received her first radio exposure as a featured artist on singles "California G's" (Yukmouth of The Luniz), "Get High" (B-Legit), and "I'm Rich" (Bavgate). Meanwhile, re rendition of "So Through" appeared in the Nicole Kidman film "The Invasion" in 2007.
Nate' hit the airwaves with her own single, "Heart Heals"; a mooth, mid-tempo slice of R&B which was prominently featured on the Bay Area's major urban radio station, KMEL, as well as in local clubs. She went on to share stages with an impressive range of artists like Kelly Price, Patti Labelle, Lenny Williams, Will Downing, Yolanda Adams, Shalamar, Carlos Santana, Dionne Warwick, Neal Schon (Journey), MC Hammer, Narada Michael Walden, Martha Reeves, REO Speedwagon, Peter Frampton, and more. The Soulsanger can also be heard providing background vocals on "Power of Peace", an album rendered by Carlos Santana and Ron Isley.
God gave Nate' a voice that is raw and she makes music that is real and honest; she doesn't go for the trendy commercial approach. Her goal is to make timeless music!!
Nate' has humbly taken home countless awards recognizing her talents. (Bay Area Rising Star, Best Vocalist, Artist of the Year, Soul Vocalist of the Year, and more)
She is ready to share her talent with the world and just released an EP entitled "Share My Love" which can be purchased via her website and/or at her performances.
